Awareness of the Present Moment
Mindfulness is the quiet art of presence —
the awareness of this moment,
the breath, the stillness, the now.
Our minds love to wander —
back to the past, where old stories live,
or forward to the future,
where worry and “what ifs” wait for us.
But the truth is simple:
life only ever happens here.
Now.
When we notice our thoughts drifting,
we can pause and ask,
“Is this thought true? Is it helpful?”
And in that asking,
we return to ourselves.
To be mindful is to unlearn
the patterns that keep us trapped.
It is to feel without judging,
to observe without clinging.
Close your eyes. Listen.
Notice the sounds, the air, the breath.
Feel what it means to be.
In through the nose.
Hold.
Out through the nose.
With each breath,
the body softens,
the mind quiets,
and space opens between who we are
and what we think.
In that space,
we remember —
we are not our thoughts,
not our past or our future.
We are awareness itself.
Alive, present, and free
in this one, sacred moment.
As an Intuitive Counsellor,
I help guide others back to this quiet wisdom —
to their own intuition,
to the truth of their authentic self.
